Cross table

With the balls lined up nearly square to the long cushion, the cue ball clips the 1st ball and crosses from long cushion to far long cushion, back to the 2nd ball in the middle.

Path: 1st ball → long cushion → long cushion → 2nd ball

Four-ball only (fewer than 3 cushions before the 2nd ball).

  1. Barely graze the 1st ball at 1/8 ball so the cue ball hardly changes direction and goes steeply into the long cushion.
  2. With no spin, the angle in equals the angle out, so the ball comes straight back off the far cushion. If the 2nd ball is off to the side, hit a little fuller to widen the crossing.
  3. A thin hit keeps almost all the speed, so power 4.5 is enough. Hit too hard and you pass the 2nd ball and reach a third long cushion.

Suggested: center ball, no spin · power 4.5 · Right 1/8 ball
