Long angle

The cue ball clips the front of a far 1st ball near a short cushion, then swings wide: short cushion → long cushion → long diagonal → long cushion, back to the 2nd ball on the cue-ball side.

Path: 1st ball → short cushion → long cushion → long cushion → 2nd ball

Scores in both three-cushion (yellow is the 2nd ball) and four-ball.

  1. Hit the 1st ball thin, at 1/4 ball, so the cue ball keeps its speed, passes in front of the 1st ball and goes into the short cushion.
  2. Add running spin (2 tips left). The angle from the short cushion to the long cushion lengthens and the ball crosses the table diagonally.
  3. It is a long path, so you need about power 5.5. Hit too full and the first cushion point moves toward the cue ball, and the shot comes up short.

Suggested: 2 tips left · power 5.5 · Left 1/4 ball
