Follow shot

Hit the 1st ball full with 3 tips of top. Instead of stopping, the cue ball keeps rolling forward on topspin and hits the 2nd ball beyond the 1st.

Path: 1st ball → 2nd ball (no cushion)

Four-ball only (fewer than 3 cushions before the 2nd ball).

1. Hit the 1st ball at 3/4 ball with 3 tips of top. At contact the cue ball hesitates for a moment, then the topspin takes over and drives it forward.
2. The fuller the hit, the closer the cue ball follows the 1st ball’s line. The thinner the hit, the wider it veers off. Choose the thickness by where the 2nd ball sits.
3. Hit too hard and you roll past the 2nd ball, so match the power to the distance. Drop to 2 tips of top for less follow.
